Staind frontman come country rocker Aaron Lewis brought his Sinner tour to the Carolina coast. The self-proclaimed “Northern Redneck” has been crisscrossing the country in support of his second solo album (Sinner, 2016) which garnered him the top position on the Top 200 Albums, Top Country Albums and Top Digital Albums Charts.
Dressed in jeans, a Smith & Wesson emblazoned tee, and trucker hat, Lewis kicked-off the Wilmington, NC, show by reciting The Pledge of Allegiance with fans. From there, the once-metal singer pulled largely from his outlaw country collection but didn’t forget his Staind songwriting past.
While rain caused a delay four songs into Lewis’ outdoor set, fans, nor the singer-songwriter and his backing band were deterred; after several minutes Lewis seamlessly picked up where he left off, not missing a beat.
Aaron Lewis’ Sinner Tour continues through November. For dates and more information, visit the musician’s website here.
